Conditions for obtaining the service (you must know)

• Criminal status: The applicant must be of good conduct and has not previously been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor against honor or trust, even if he has been rehabilitated.
• Employment contract: There must be an existing employment contract between the translator and the translation office.
• A valid office license for commercial activity such as a translation office in the case of (the applicant is an office owner).
• Taking into account the conditions stipulated in Article (5) of the Decree-Law, the following requirements are required for a sign language interpreter to be registered in the roster:
  • To be highly competent in communicating in sign language and spoken language.
  • To be understanding of the deaf, their characteristics, and culture.
  • To have direct contact with deaf individuals and groups in various places, such as deaf clubs and events.
  • To have diverse skills for different translation situations, such as educational, health, legal, television, and others.
• His practical experience in the field of translation should not be less than five years following graduation, and the citizen is excluded from the period of experience.
• Academic qualification: Must have an accredited qualification from a recognized university or institute.
